Kyzylorda-Aralsk Highway Introduced Toll Fees for Trucks

As of January 25, 2025, the Kyzylorda-Aralsk highway has officially become a toll road for freight transport. This highway, part of the major transit corridor connecting southern and western Kazakhstan, plays a vital role in cargo transportation. The toll system applies to trucks, with fees calculated based on the vehicle’s category, weight, and distance traveled.

For instance, trucks with a capacity of up to 2.5 tons are charged approximately 2,925 KZT per kilometer when paying after the trip or 2,485 KZT per kilometer when paying in advance. The exact toll fees for other vehicles vary according to weight and category. These collected funds will be used to maintain and upgrade road infrastructure, improve traffic safety, and reduce wear and tear on the highway.

This initiative aligns with Kazakhstan’s long-term infrastructure development strategy to support economic growth and sustainable transportation.
