To catch up with Kazakhstan in terms of logistics capacity, Uzbekistan will need to build at least 2.3 million – 2.4 million square meters of warehouse space. This was stated by managing partner of IBC Global Stanislav Akhmedzyanov.
According to the expert, in 2024 Uzbekistan has been increasing its warehouse potential at a record pace – from 0.195 million to 0.518 million square meters (2.6 times).
The largest facilities launched during this period are Grand Pharm logistics hub and logocenter in the suburbs of Tashkent – 0.05 million square meters each, the second phase of Orient Logistics logocenter – 0.021 million square meters, Balton Trading Asia warehouse complex – 0.02 million square meters.

For comparison, other countries increased the area of quality warehouse facilities over the year:

  • Kazakhstan – from 1.358 million to 1.63 million square meters (+20%)
  • Kyrgyzstan – from 0.07 million to 0.092 million square meters (+31%)
  • Georgia – from 0.072 million to 0.12 million square meters (+66%)
  • Armenia – from 0.073 million to 0.096 million square meters (+31%)
