Uzbekistan to Allow Labeling Products with “Halal” SignThe initiative will establish certification bodies and will base requirements for products and services on international standards.
The Agency for Technical Regulation of Uzbekistan, together with the Committee for Religious Affairs, will conduct accreditation of certification structures within six months with the involvement of international organizations.
It is also planned to develop an official standard defining the shape and size of the “Halal” sign.
The resolution will come into force three months after its official publication.
